Halloweeeeeeeeeen
Halloweeeeeeeeeen by @Jansu (Brandon Ballenger)

I wasn't really intending to do a holiday image, but I was doodling and being generally half attentive in class this morning and out came a witch. Whether or not you know, I have a thing for witches. And I figure, that's Halloweeny. So Happy Halloween. :)

On the left is the original pencil sketch and it was smaller to begin with, only a few inches tall. I draw small. On the right is a version which I just laid some quick color over in Photoshop, and then not really feeling a pencil sketch merited any background work, I just threw that together and tried to give it a marginally interesting composition. Eh.

But Happy Halloween! May it be weeful.

You like witches? O_O Never would've guessed... ;)

This is so cute! The composition is simple and works perfectly. Having the witches and cat in the background looks much nicer than just a plain orange background... And it's nice to see both the original sketch and the colorized version...

The witch(es) herself looks really nice, especially in the color version... The black dress with hints of purple in it almost makes it seem like it's this really deep purple velvet gown... ^-^ She seems a bit elongated, though... Breasts usually start around underarm height and I don't think her hips would be that low...

Still looks good for an in-class sketch! Good work on making something so simple look really nifty! ^-^

Yeah, I kinda felt she looked "stretched" myself, but I didn't know specifically why. Thanks. ^^;

Well, it IS cute and the composition's just right! In terms of more critical stuff though, I can't add anything more to what Naughtia said. :p Now, how about some Witch Tay? ;)
