Shout-out to my friend @marven4lyf, they introduced me to this site. I miss the old days of DeviantArt, before the eclipse. Everything is so much more art and community-focused here. Excited for what the future holds.

As I'm wont to say whenever the comment comes up, I wish I'd known about Side 7 back in 2015 when the Webcams fiasco provoked the first talk of a mass exodus (and attention wasn't splintered between a dozen rival startups). I'd been burned by a couple of newer candidates before landing here, and it was love at first sight; the user base at the time was a handful of regulars and there were worries it might close, but membership exploded last Spring, and the last year of updates alone has brought features to near-parity with dA. S7 is very much the dark horse of art sites, and I'm eternally indebted to @EyeballEarth for spotlighting it in a dA journal. B^)
